I suppose it would be at BW for Montiel's World Championship. It is a very tough one to call, Montiel certainly made it look like he has a lot left in his tank, that KO over Hozumi was very impressive (though he was outboxed for most of the fight) and easily got past the Concepcion who gave Donaire a tough competitive fight.

Of course Nonito fans will point out that Concepcion was overweight but that's hardly an excuse for the hard time since he weighed about the same vs. Montiel, and Donaire himself is a bantamweight sized fighter, of course he's not gonna blow away opponents his size!

Both being former flyweight champs, Montiel-Donaire looks great and well-balanced at 118lbs. If it gets made, it looks like it'll be the very best fight of the 2nd half of 2010, and a chance for Cochulito to grab the Fighter of the Year award!

doanire will have some problem if he will go a little higher. he is tall but he is hardly a bantamweight. but who knows once he would not force himself into making 112. 115 or 118 is just right for this fight.

I've been saying this is probably in the top 3-5 best fights that can be made in boxing right now. An article on b-talk said that this fight was done for November in mexico if montiel beat concepcion. Well, this fight
should be signed in the next month or so. As for a prediction. Montiel has been fighting at a very high level for a number of years and will hold the
big fight experience in this encounter. Nonito, is a super talent prodigy.
Both guys can hit, with the speed factor going to donaire. Both are p4p'ers in terms of skill(donaire) and will(montiel). I personally think this fight will beat out all fights this year and be crowned FOTY for 2010. As
for a winner, i honestly can't pick one.

Fernando Montiel is not only fast and has extrem power in both hands he is super smart and always thinking and now he is on a mission and having fun and you can tell he loves
what he is doing and I can't see anyone beating him right now.

I wish Donaire alot of luck and he will need alot of it to beat Montiel.

Very interesting fight and if this fight is on the 13th of November and on the undercard of a Pacquiao fight. I would buy it just because of this fight. Right now, I would lean towards Donaire because of his speed and also Montiel was getting outboxed (to an extent it's not exactly he was getting schooled or anything like that) by Hazegawa up until the KO. Soooooo, I would lean towards Donaire winning by UD at the moment.

Donaire is the truth but it's hard to pick against MOntiel who has elevated his game majorly in the last few fights. Id be rooting for DOnaire but i wouldnt bet on it..
