    Yeah, well said.

And Cermeno and Terrazas are no cupcakes, by any stretch. Can't speak on "Alvaro Perez."

Man, Montiel was all over Terrazas in the 12th (from what I could tell)

    Round 12

Montiel hooks Terrazas in the head, stepping in and bringing down clubbing rights as Terrazas tries to duck. Clinch. Break. Montiel circles in close against Terrazas and slaps away at his back as they come together. Bear hug by Terrazas. Montiel is going for the KO, selling out - maybe because of the open scoring? Montiel isn't landing very cleanly but has the crowd on its feet! Terrazas ducks, grabs, rushes past Montiel, grabs again and pulls his arms down - all sorts of spoiling. Montiel just keeps banging away!! Lefts and rights!! Terrazas is caught a bit! Hurt a bit! Montiel slugs and Terrazas holds! Big power shots loaded up by Montiel, but not enough.

    He is going to lose.

Terrazas is Mexican but from a different state, and they're in Fernando's home city.

    Robbery?

The nicaraguan is nothing great, being stopped by Hasegawa says it all.

Great display of will and heart in the last round but it was far too late. Thanks for the memories champ, but the game is over for you.

Whoa, that's a bit of an ignorant statement.

    Says what all?

You're not just looking at Hasegawa's KO ratio on paper and determining via his Boxrec page that a stoppage loss to him is something to be ashamed of, are you?

He developed some serious KO power in the later stage of his bantamweight title run. At that point in time he was a huge hitter and excellent finisher at 118.

All being stopped by Hasegawa at that point in time & at that weight "says" is that you're human.

Mind you, I'm not suggesting Alvaro Perez is anything special. Saying that being stopped by Hasegawa is proof of someone not being special, though - that's just pure ignorance. I don't care if he does have only 12 stoppages in 29 career wins. Two years ago at BW that was a bad man.

Hozumi won't be remembered as well as he ought to be.

Was the longest reigning then-active titlist til Montiel KO'd him.
