i think montiel could do better second time around. he'll still get beat but not as bad and not as early.
No problem with the rematch. The only problem is we don't want to see his eyes rolling while lying on the canvas. It scares everyone.
This is how trilogy are born ... What if montiel does the same... both are still very very good fighters...
Pretty much the same fight I was watching. Let me guess, you had Nonito dominating up until the KO and Montiel had no chance
Watch it again...... Pretty even is actually streatching it a bit. I did not say he did not have a chance, but the first and second round was pretty much one-sided... Who knows what the 3rd round would be? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACB-rQO5bV0[/ame]
Hey Man... I hope Montiel fights arce for a title win... The asks donaire to fight him at 122... There were saying that whatever the outcome a rematch was likely to happen at 122... Let's do it... Not very often 2 of the greatest fighters in their division get to fight each other in their prime... Let's capitalise...you never know what happens next... The better man won that day.. both are awesome people and fighters.
I believe what Donaire said. He said " one mistake from him and one mistake from me and it's OVER. So it is that kind of FIGHT.Anything can happen. But before they fight i'd like to see Rigondeaux vs Donaire.
No one is disputing that. Both are devastating punchers and anyone who connects solidly first wins. But to say they were even before the knockout is really stretching it a bit. Donaire tagged Montiel with power punches and combinations early and several times as well. Even RJJ was admiring how well conditioned Montiel was because he really took some punches. That does not exactly say even. But the first two rounds are the feeling out rounds and Montiel really is always a slow starter. Therefore, prior to the knockout, they are not exactly fairly even.
