I remember reading that it was Floyd Sr.

He said that he was going to do some more films after Alpha Dog, I wonder what happened with that? He was pretty good on film, in his 10 lines or so.

I see him winning some tuneups, but getting knocked out by someone like Andrade, Bika, or Edison Miranda.

Yeah, no ****. The average retired guy in this country gets fat, why the hell shouldn't a guy who suffered like crazy to stay in shape for a career? When it gets like Buster Douglas or something and it's almost fatal, then I start to feel bad. But when it just means he looks bad? Who gives a ****! The guy earned it.

I wish he wasn't coming back, but if he blew all of his money then he has to do what he has to do. Maybe he and De la Hoya can have a rematch at 175 or something. That'd make a dime even if it was a total joke.

One of my sources says that Vargas is in great shape and can make middleweight.

to be honest, Vargas was fighting at 154lbs at 19 years old.

    154
160 - would be impressive if he makes it down this much
168 - Is where he will likely wind up

168 at his age and with his wear really isnt as bad as some are making it out to be.

That being said, even if he came back in AWESOME shape, looked good, and ripped, at 154 even.... while that would all be good and would be nice to see Feroz that serious again, being in fighting shape isnt Feroz's issue, its that his skills have eroded, along with his physical ability, due to a variety of reasons.

Vargas's only shot at beating any sort of contenders IMO, is IF he got down to 154. He could then fight Cotto, Angulo, Cintron, and I think even at this stage, he could give respectable fights if he was 100% in shape, not drained.

    At 160?
He should stick to fighting Mayorga, Camacho JR, and then maybe have his final return fight be against Sturm. Pirog, David, and Martinez..... as I Vargas fan, I dont want to see those fights.

    168?

At this weight, even the fringe contenders become somewhat dangerous due to their size advantage over Vargas, and big punch. Andrade, Miranda..... I dont see who else is out there that would be suitable for Vargas to fight there.

Like I said, he needs to stick to some VERY soft touches starting out, I am talking maybe 2 fights against non ranked comp and then a fight with Camacho jr, which a win there would at least get Feroz's name back in the light somewhat..... then who knows, with some activity under him and being in shape with the rust knocked off, go after Felix Sturm.

All that is my BEST case scenario.

None of this is ment to be disrespectful to Vargas, at all, but rather a huge fans concerns. He needs to take this careful and give it his all if he plans on fighting anyone above Camacho JR's level in ANY weightclass. And even then, with his back, size, accumilated ring damage, lifestyle outside the ring and eroded skills, if he was able to even beat a secondary title holder like Sturm, I would consider that quite a succesfull comeback.

    War Feroz

I love Nando, but he really needs to stop doing this to himself and to his fans, he's in dire need of money, apparently.

Still, a blind man could avoid his left hook.

Thing i dont understand about this come back:

His body has major wear... i remember he had back problems etc when he was fighting. But every day for the last few months on twitter he is posting his workouts and has been doing roadwork 5 days a week, sometimes twice a day. Now, forgive me... but thats the stupidest thing you could ever do if your having any sort of joint problems. Running causes the most stress on the body.... especially at his ridiculous weight. Someone needs to tell this dummy to do some other cardio (biking, cross training, swimming)... he is just destroying his body again... will most likely never make it to that first bell because he will get injured again...and we all know he needs that cash
