the comment about him not having enough fights was among the least informed things i've ever heard, anywhere, at any time.

i remember reading an article way back about the correlation between rounds SPARRED and brain damage. as someone pointed out in another thread, philly's gym wars have a major effect on the fighter, look at willie gibbs already.

as i said, i gained 75lbs in about 1.5 years, i know about how different your speech is. mine is slower, laboured, with heavy breathing in between. but it's not the same as brain damaged.

listen to the organization of his sentences, and how his words flow into each other. and watch him struggle to stay on topic or remember what the hell the question was.

and noone is insulting vargas by saying he sounds damaged, its just pointing out another macho man biting the dust.

I think he sounds more dumb, fat and Mexican than anything else; three things he is known for being.

I only notice a little slur in his language.Toney 's language has deterioated to a a point where you have problems to understand what he says.

No big deal, he made a lot of bucks with this sport so that is the price you have to pay.

I didn't watch the entire video, but he sounds ok, and fairly clear and normal. He stumbled over a few words at the start of sentences, but that doesn't mean he has brain damage, he might have always had a speech pattern like that. For seriously punchy see: Herbie Hide (I'm sorry to say).
