Prime versions of each, the Vargas that beat Quartey and Winky and Yori Boy versus the Vasquez who went on a run of 10 titles defenses. Fernando handled a boxer type southpaw in Winky but Julio always seemed to get his power through at some point when prime. Who ya got?
I've got prime Vargas. Vargas really was a special fighter in his early 20's but the back injury was simply the end of him as an elite fighter. Prime Vargas was a force though. He basically beat Campus, Marquez, Quartey and Wright back to back before getting stretched by Tito in a classic fight. I just recently watched the Vargas vs Winky fight and he looked way better against Winky that Shane, Tito and Ike did for sure. I like Vasquez but I don't see him holding the stronger Vargas off.
