    Finally...in just over 10 days...

What would Mayorga have to do? How do you think it will pan out? What strategy will Vargas employ? This should be a good fight!

If Vargas is decent shape he will try to do what hes always did in his prime agianst lesser skilled fighters by using a tigh defense, landing the lead right hand following up with stiff jabs and using decent angles, also he will mix it up and back Mayorga up occasionally and go after a Mayorga weakness body punches. It wont look at flashy as he did vs Ike Quartey but Vargas is shot thats why.

Simple analysis would be, Vargas pushed for 160, then 165 because he's roided up all his career (Sorry Kirk) And now his system is taking damage, he's not even 30 and is already post-shot:)-()... Mayorga is walking around 170lbs without much of a problem, he's actually around that weight fight night at 154lbs, so I don't see how he will be any less of a fighter, he won't have to worry to make weight.
Vargas should just put this fight aside and retire, he won't win.

I realy hope that Mayorga KO's him.
He should have trained like it was a 154 fight and not dehydrated so that it doesnt affect his performence too much. But I have no idea how they both will fight at this weight. One thing i will say Vargas is a disgrace for not being able to get his weight down.

I wish Vargas to come out at him really ferocious, foaming from his mouth and show right away who's meaner like it already happened in the presser. El Matador can't kill a raging bull on the loose so he'll be standing there taking shots like a junkyard barking dog that doesn't bite. Mayorga can't fight going back and he can't counter punch so it's Fernando with a beer belly and everything. Orale Vato.

Vargas get's tired after round one and Mayorga wins via TKO after Vargas crashes to the canvas without taking a shot from Mayorga.

In all seriousness, Vargas should just retire if he can't make 154 or 160. I don't want to see one of my Fave boxers go out like that.

I expect Fernando Vargas to be very sluggish at 168. I doubt he will have any speed or snap on his punches. On the other hand, while Mayorga will be above his best weight, he can come in lighter than 168 and have more stamina, snap, and speed. He will be somewhat sluggish, but will be able to carry the excess weight better than Vargas.

For the fight itself, Vargas throws the straighter, more concise punches. He is technically better and can utilize his ability to give different angles. I expect him to start out trying to fight a technical fight - jabs from the outside, straight right hands, and left hooks to the body. But Mayorga will make him fight eventually and Vargas will want to fight as well. This will become a brawl in the center of the ring. Both guys will be trading punches and it will look quite sloppy. I expect fatigue to set in around the 6th round for Vargas moreso than Mayorga. He will take control, land some flush shots, and put Vargas down. Mayorga will follow up and end the fight.

    Mayorga TKO8 Vargas

I would say that would be unprecedented Rey, Goddam, I think they both can go down in history after all - has something similar ever happened in history, a double KO?

This is better than Celebrity Deathmatch or duel in da nutthouse, but I can't really bet on this poll cause they'll probably tackle n strangle each other, bump heads like in buffalo fighting or bite off somebody's eyes, noses and ears and it will be Double Disqualification. At least if Kathy Duva was in between them once again for a final presser, everybody going mutha****ah, cabron, balls, cojones and stuff...
