He could've won before the DLH fight but not anytime after.

 

pre-tito el feroz, the guy who beat winky and then quartey, was a dynamic young fighter with great skill and power and at 154 might've been too much for margo


having said that, it took 2 fights to ruin him (tito and DLH) and margo mightve accomplished that in just one

 

The Pressure Margo puts and a few rounds of flush shots on Vargas would have Vargas calling for his homies

Vargas was a good boxer but his defense has always been shyt

could vargas have even hit margarito as many times with as much power and as cleanly as cotto? i really dont think so and even if he could he would have been worn down and knocked sooner than cotto did imo

Now--tony Kos Him...but Early 2000's Vargas Beats Margo...vargas Was A Good Fighter..he Only Lost To The Best In His Prime And Margo Comes Nowhere Close To Tito Or Oscar In There Primes

 

I just dont think Vargas could handle that many power punches coming at him llike what 60-80 a round TITO threw half that and caught a Prime young Vargas and TITO was basicaly the same a pressure fighter who threw power shots

Margs power isnt like TITO's but his workrate is twice of TITO's

 

Skill wise he was better and it's quite easy too see, look at the people he beat Ike and Winky are better than anyone on margo's resume.

 

I think Vargas jumps out to a huge early lead by making Margo resemble a bobble head doll in rounds 1-7 but eventually he woud slow down and Margo would start to accelerate and begin to tee off. Margo by tko in 11. Great fight though, and I would not be shocked if Nando pulled out a close dec due to his big heart, but if he did last the duration, he would look like someone ran over his face with a cement truck at the end of 12.

 

The Vargas of 98-00 beats Margarito's ass! Tony probably goes the distance cause he has a great chin, but he loses most rounds.
