They fought in 1996 at the Olympic Trials. Did anyone know this? It's surprising to me because Chop seems so much smaller than Vargas, considering where they fought as pros. Here's the video of the fight though; interesting to watch-I never knew Chop Chop had that much of an amateur career. http://youtube.com/watch?v=DS8CAOKqpG0&mode=related&search=
After finding out he wears female underwear (claiming that they are comfortable) - I stopped paying attention to Chop Chop.
The man is still a slick boxer; and his whole women's underwear thing is partly and act, he's straight as they come.
But even as an 18 year old, it's hard to imagine him being anywhere near Chop's weight-he can make 135 now probably; when he was younger I imagine he would have fought at 132 in the ams; it just seems they're so far seperated in size to begin with; without the two #3 meals from Mickey D's Vargas has for dinner.
Chop's a tough guy, and he managed to carve out a nice career for himself. I hope he's put some money away, because I think he's finished at the top level.
And I think you're an idiot. Do I have any proof of this? No, just circumstantial stuff, the same way people who accuse Chop of being gay have no evidence (other than the fact the man has like 5 or 6 biological children and is raising his brother's kids too).
I know Chop personally and although there is that little feminine stuff, I remember couple years back I brought like 5 girlfriends with me to the Ballroom and he was all about them. Word gets around quickly in the DC area, so if he was, it would be known. Unless of course, he's deep in the closet. However, he's the type of guy who could care less of what anyone thought and straight up tell everyone. :good
