Fernando Vargas .Vs. Miguel Cotto

Vargas was no 147 pounder. He was about as natural a 154 pounder as you can get. And at 154, a prime Vargas would kick Cotto's ass badly.

 

yeah i am a huge cotto fan obviously and even I can see the skill difference.. i would take vargas over alot of folks at 154 in his 19-0- 17 or whatever kos ..form ..

i think he'd butcher floyd at the weight and he murders margarito

 

I don't really rate Vargas, he was too inconsistent. Good on his day no doubt, but failed against the best (despite win over Winky)

 

Me too he would put some hurt on Floyd and especially Margarito and Cotto.

 

I think he had huge potential, but was rushed into big fights far too soon.

 

Not to mention that Quartey guy.

 

lmao yeah no kidding ...for a young punk vargas pulled wins over some awesome fighters! .. these guys just dont remember THE vargas that was comming from the olympics ..guy was a beast ! he beat super stars when he was just a kid!
