Prime Vargas UD. I'd say 8-4, 7-5ish. I'd say Nando's pressure would keep Martinez moving more then he'd like. Plus his body attack would wear and slow Martinez more. Prime Fernando was very solid skillwise despite the tendency to mix up some. Very good jab, short right, body attack. A more solid chin and he'd be up there with Tito and DLH rather then a notch or two below. Martinez has his attributes, his hand speed, good snapping jab of his own. But he's better when he's in control. I think Vargas would outwork and rough himself a way to a win.

    Lol you're funny

Ordinary fight for Feroz, Sergio wouldn't trouble him much. Martinez would be an anonymous euro guy in that era.

Martinez would embarrass Vargas by pitching a shutout.

Trinidad had trouble with Vargas because he's not a crafty, skilled boxer in the sense that Martinez or De La Hoya is/was. De La Hoya had trouble with Vargas because Vargas was the bigger, stronger man, and not to mention, was on steroids, which seemed to run out late in that fight.

Before Vargas was done dirty by low blows from Puerto Ricans... He wins a hard fought fight...

I don't think anyone in this thread has been watching boxing for more than a year or two.

I have Martinez winning by UD of late TKO. His left would find Vargas all night, but it wouldn't be easy cuz Vargas had heart
