Davis can't be too shot. After his accident he came back 5 months later and went the 10 round distance with Heavyweight Carl Drummond 21-0 and only lost by a few rounds
I will definitely be watching out for this name, he may well eventually be the Heavyweight USA is looking for.
Davis hasn't responded well to punches well for years. Guillermo Jones grazed him on the temple and basically put him out. I don't think he's taken shots well since that fight, sort of reminds me of Michael Bennett--anyone remember him? He's particularly open to the right hand. My feeling is that he'd probably do well to retire at this point.
This is the 1st Big guy I'm impressed with in a long time since Mike Tyson. He's tall, long, Good Speed, Power & the personality to be Great. Now i have the reson to watch Heavyweights again whenever he fights.
That was really sad. :verysad He is shop worn and needs to hang em up. Good guy, I wish him the best.
Yeah, he seems like a really game fighter, How would you fight a guy like Fields? Would you test his chin early in the fight?
I love it... I wish he would've called someone out or at least thrown a name around...but I'm sold....If Ding wins his upcoming match it would be a good fight
I know that, but he will be fighting against heavyweight soon. In the old days 200 pounders are called heavyweights, they should change Cruisers to Heavy & then Change Heavy to Overweights.:hey
I think he would be better served to make sure he can handle CW power before he tries HW's. I think CW's overall are the better fighters when compared to HW's these days, because they fight like the old HW's.
Wow That was quite a performance. He nailed Davis with a straight right almost right after the opening bell. Davis was done right there. Handspeed is very impressive. Reminds me of a heavyweight version of Paul Williams, but with much more power!
Same here. Its been a while since there has been a prospect at that weight where I said "damn he's gonna be something, im impressed"
