this guy hasn't really been chin-checked yet. I mean the offensive skillset it there but at the higher levels you need a combination of good defence and a good chin. Therefore its hard to pass judgement on him right now but really it seems promising. I saw Haye vs Mormeck and though Haye seems to be much bigger than Fields he is also much much more flat footed and has slower handspeed (judging from 1 fight only). obviously its easier to let your hands go against Davis than against Mormeck, so basically the jury is stil out
Fields has a longer list of tomato cans on his resume than Mesi, but sadly his managerment hasn't been as effective.
God what an idotic thing to say! The kid just had his eleventh pro fight and has already fought some tough guys. A longer list of tomato cans than Mesi? Are you kidding me? For a guy with 11 pro fights he has been fighting adequate competition! Oh and his management is so bad that in his eleventh pro fight he is in a nationally televised ESPN main event. Do you even think about things you write before you start typing?
There was obviously nothing to dislike in the performance. Glad to hear Davis call it career afterwards. Davis was someone who doesnt belong there anymore and unfortunately tragedy played a role in that:-( The good news is, he's recovered as good as he has, to this point!:happy Fields needs more activity, to stay focused, and start to step it up the ladder. One show does not a career make:nono Anyone reading this thread will be watching this kid, the next time around:good
