He fought Pender in his hometown both times and the press thought Robinson won the 1st fight that's evidence! ps Risko held a version of the middleweight title.Do you ever do any research?
Pender ducked Giardello and Tiger. He was a cheese champion.
Apostoli and Thil are crap?Yeah okay.

Zale wasnt washed up. He just met his match

IMO, had he not dislocated his shoulder in the 1st, wouldve whipped Jake easy

fortunately for Jake, Marcel didnt make it to the rematch

Steele and Cerdan are from different eras there is no time at which a fight would have made sense.

No Steele never fought Cerdan probably because he retired in1938 and as late as 1939 Cerdan was a welterweight !lol
This answers my earlier question," do you ever do any research?" lol

According to Ras Al Guhl ,Steele ducked Cerdan so he gets thrown out of my top ten!

LOL - no lower - with fine lines, such as these.

As a matter of interest, do you think Hopkins should be considered a Top-10 ATG Middleweight?

    Giardello beat
    Tigerx2
    Carter
    Troy
    Panter
    Cartier
    Jones
His record wins are better than Pender's by a considerable margin.

Thanks. This list compiling is all fine, when you're not too bothered whether or not the list changes the next day. Trying to establish a more stable list can be a headache.

Absolutely, plus, as Zale had rapidly aged after the crucible of the three Graziano bouts...ok, #3 was a onesided cake walk for Zale, but the first two would be enough to suck the goody out of any fighter. Damned right Zale wasn't the same fighter that he was before the War...and fighting Cerdan, and at the pace Cerdan set...was just a bridge too far for Zale.
