Anyone see Kugans tweet, I said the same 18 months ago on this site , but Liverpool is a great place to go and watch Boxing and just when I thought there was a little bit of a dip , its back right on top of the pile as the capital of Boxing .
Hope we get another big show on the Echo Arena soon, Derry v Crolla, Rocky v Smigga , the place would be jumping

Liverpool is good. Really think up in the North East we are never given any decent shows, suppose we need some fighters to come through so we're not continually overlooked. Be nicer not to have to travel for a change for the bigger shows.

The Echo is a fantastic venue for boxing it's just a shame the scousers can't behave themselves. I've been all over England / Scotland watching boxing and have only ever seen proper trouble at the Olympia and the Echo.

Worst trouble I saw was at the LG Arena for ******s Magnificent 7 show. Was a near riot.

Yes i believe that was a bad do, i wasn't there then. Was that when Matty Hall fought Konecny?

I tell a lie i once saw it kick off abit in Stoke, Sunderland fans and the Stoke lads had abit of a row. Calmed down quickly enough though

Yeah it was that night. Mix of Swansea, South East London, Norwich, Brummys, Scousers didn't go well.

People can slag scousers off all they like, I'm from Liverpool and I'm the first to admit there are a good few d**kheads who give us a bad reputation. But for every one of them there are a lot of good, friendly people who make up for it.

We have an excellent Arena in the Echo and with Tony Bellew, David Price, Paul Smith, Liam Smith, Callum Smith, Stephen Smith, Rocky Fielding, Derry Mathews, Joe Selkirk, Tom Stalker, Jazza Dickens, Paul Butler (Close enough), Kevin Satchell. We Sam Maxwell and Anthony Fowler on the elite GB squad coming through the amateurs so I would say considering we are not the biggest city in the country, we produce a fair bit of talent when it comes to boxing.

Its because you have to fight your way out of poverty if you're born in Liverpool. :good

Majority of people who slag scousers off are little weirdos who have never stepped foot in Liverpool, never mind met a scouser.

Well considering i worked in Speke for 5 years, have been to anfield and goodison many times i don't fall into that category :good

I've got a good few scouser mates through working there, but it still doesn't get away from the fact that scousers can't behave at events like boxing
