Following the large number of **** videos of people punching the heavy bag... What would you guys say would be individual check points that a fighter should be able to do before they even think of fighting.

    ie.

    Throw a correct jab.
    Throw a correct cross.
    Move without crossing your feet.

    etc etc

    ???

To stay away from there pc.

    To go to a gym.

    Running.

    Then footwork.

Then defence. ( keeping hands UP or out of range )

My belief was, if i can defend myself then i am already halfway to winning.

His odds of winning are halfed immediately, if that makes sense.

dedicated they need to be able to trasin at home and work hard in the gym as an example to younbger boxers

they need to be able to defend themselves correctly

they need to have mastered the basic punches and combinations

they need to have a chance of winning and being competitive

they need to be fit as hell

and most importantly they need to be willing an keen

I think I've improved a lot since my last video but it is time for a shadowboxing one, really I've been training hard but I'm really confused if and when I should go for my first amateur fight. Late this year or early next year is probably the earliest I'll do one, the main problem is no gym or trainer in my area, so I almost feel like I'll be walking through fire if I do one then. But I'll see what you and others think, and if I'm ready I'm ready. The other more safer alternative is to wait until I get to Las Vegas next May to an actual gym.

Wait. Whatever you do wait or you may as well commit boxing suicide.

Yes, absolutely, wait until you have a trainer who can help you. Also, don´t know how it works in US, but don´t you need to be with a club to have a fight ( no funny comments now:p)
