Kevin Osvaldo García vs. Armando Gabriel Castillo, 4 rounds @ flyweight

 

From their tale of the tape pictures on the onscreen graphic, Castillo look twelve but is apparently a decade younger than that...while García is twenty but looks a decade older than that.

 

The crowd gives the DJ a pro wrestling style "you ****ed up" chant when he plays the wrong entrance theme for Castillo.

 

Defense schmefense. Impressive speed from both, though.

 

A good old-fashioned lower-weights donnybrook.


I love the overhands converted directly off the body shoeshines.

 

I've been sipping my Chianti and watching this without the scrutiny of an eye for scoring, but 30-27 García would be my inclination. For some reason most of the fans in the crowd and the YouTube comments section were rooting for Castillo and predicting him to "catch a body" tonight. They're on their way to being disappointed, barring a robbery. Their boy's starting to get licked badly.

(sidenote: how does one come to be a fan of somebody BEFORE their pro debut? It wasn't line they were amateur standouts or anything, commentators said they had less than a combined 20 bouts)
