Jesús González vs. Christian Evan Seals, 6 rounds @ super welterweight

 

Round 1

González jabbing the body and straightening up with a hook up top. Seals countering with quick overhands and grabbing. Jump-in hook by González and Seals ties him up. Lazy jab downstairs by González, takes a two-piece as receipt. González is bouncing in place, then dashes in with a double jab. Seals steps through with a big 1-2 and now González holds. Jab on the chest by González. Another. Seals ripped with a left hook as González charges in. Rough clinch before the bell.

Christian "The General" Seals is a big super welter, 6'2", fighting out of Carson, CA.

Jesús "El Lobito (The Wolf Cub)" González is from Santa Ana by way of Riverside, but has fought several times at The Hangar before and is the man folks paid to see.

 

19-19, Seals patiently walking González onto counters after baiting him with a slow double jab and then leaning back.

 

González with some good body work in R3.

29-28 Lobito

 

Seals tired, got rocked by a couple of hooks, but still having moments offensively and able to stall when getting hurt by draping his long frame over his opponent.

39-37 González

 

Both sloppy in the 5th, missing wildly and nearly paying for it (and saved only by the grace of the other guy doing the same). Fair amount of clinching going on. Seals is driving González back with his left forearm and hammering down with right overhands. González struggling to score more than the odd body jab. More clinches. Whipping hook by González. Overhand by González and left hook by Seals land at the same time. Seals hunkering down behind a guard, tossing a jab and overhand.

Round 6

González is bashing away up top with the right, carrying his left hand low. Seals flops onto him and pushes him against the ropes, both wrestling for better arm position. Seals works a free hand into the kidney before the ref breaks them apart. González is ducking in past the Seals jab with overhands.
