- lampley...clearly a very gifted announcer. He's got one of them "sports bar" deliveries that pulls you in. but as a person he's a dirtbag. - kellerman...my fav...been a fan since his days on ESPN. Highly perceptive and eloquent. Seems to really have an interest in boxing as a fan. I'm sure it's not easy trying to navigate the politics of HBO broadcasting, but for the most part max does a great job keeping the other announcers focused and impartial. - farhood...my least fav. Hated this guys since he worked for ring magazine (probably still does) back in the 90's. One of the guys that is really responsible for the decline in boxing's popularity and a real stain on the sport. - nigel collins...same as farhood. the fact these extra average, ratchet guys could have so much influence in boxing is a sign there's something wrong with the sport. - bernstein...used to be a big fan when he was on free tv, but since he went to showtime, i can't stand dude. a true company man...comes across as more mild-mannered and polished than lampley, but really no difference between them. - Paulie...i'm a fan of the passion and the no-holds-barred, INFORMED opinions, but sometimes his b1tch a55edness gets to me, especially when he's hatin on other 140 to 147 lbers. - Rjj...as much as a i'm a fan of roy as a fighter, i was extremely disappointed in him as an announcer. Sold out to HBO first chance he got to announce a fight... - teddy atlas....one reason i don't miss FNF is because i really don't like teddy. **** he did to tyson was fked up...miike was only 14, 15 years old. fkin dirtbag. - SRL...not the most stimulating guy, but offers great insight about the fighters.
At first i thought he was kinda boring...but he's really grown on me. I enjoy his commentary because he's very fair and very observant...he's the way i hoped rjj would be.
andre is a very intelligent guy, so he provides some great insight....but i always feel his scoping out the other guys for potential opponents....
not sold on tarver yet either...antonio just doesn't seem as engaged or invested in the fights as i would like to see.
Roy is good, not the most articulate, but he has good insight on what it's like to be a fighter. B.J Flores deserves a mention as well, he's the best PBC has to offer.
I like RJJ and Lampley, Bernstein and Paulie are good but their voices just annoy the **** out of me.
