Good point, I honestly don't know. I know that when the Benn/Eubank fight was in jeopardy it was suggested using the Luxembourg or Maltese boxing federations so that it could still go ahead...how possible/realistic that is, I have no idea.
On a long term basis I would hazard a guess it would be more damaging for the promotor and those involved than not, it would severely damage credibility. However that being said, with the right financial backing and influence it could go the other way too.
That's my thinking too But Trafford says sue them and never use again I don't see how that's possible
Couldn't resist, sorry. There is an interesting tangent here - is sanctioning / licensing by the BBBoC tantamount to a cartel? I know you can fight in the UK unlicensed but given you need a licence to put on boxing, wrestling or MMA in the UK, is the BBBoF the sole recognised licensing body? I doubt it. Interesting times if someone tries to challenge it.
Trafford talks nonsense 99% of the time. The 1% his **** sticks he makes about 10 posts telling everyone
Recent interviews show that Shalom is starting to feel the pressure. He got a lot of praise at the start of the Sky deal but his cards are getting worse and worse and the strain of the criticism is starting to show. Good news for us though, interviews with stressed out promoters are always more entertaining.
