Seemed like your timing and range were a bit off, things to work on... move your head, keep your hands up a little better and, dbl up on the jab

You look like you have some very good potential. You look very relaxed, with good form and balance. You have decent speed and coordination. Footwork is good.
You look better than most amateurs in my province - where boxing has a small but loyal following (Ontario, Canada).

In a word, you fought without urgency. Your opponent was fighting like it was a 3 round fight, and you fought like it was a 5 rd fight. You would lose to less skilled fighters on this basis alone. If you simply threw more punches, the outcome might have been different.

If you're not a fast starter - at least throw a couple hard shots in rd 1, to get his respect, and give him something to think about before teeing off.

Your defense and blocking look great - but after you throw punches, this goes out the window, especially when you drop your hands. That's why you got countered a lot. All he had to do was avoid/block your shots, then you were an easy target.

You have some skills, i'm not just being nice. Technique is there, just need to use a more appropriate strategy for a 3 rd amateur fight.

Good luck on your next fight.

Thanks so mich speechless. Yea I have a terrrrrrible habit of dropping my hands and also "admiring my work" as they say. You're also right about being a slowbstarter. I always am cause I like to take my time but like u said...its not working in the amateurs which could explain why I'm 1-3 with all losses being relatively close fights

nice fight from both! you were sleeping in 1st and movement was slow. in 2nd you started to circle around him and that payed off, he was missing and you were in position to counter. try changing direction of circling, you were going too much on his right hand, mix it a little bit.

i think you have nice base to build your boxing, maybe you need more movement and explosiveness, but thats my thinking. your opponent is moving all the time, doing defenses while he even isnt in distance, while you were stationary and easy to hit or counter.

you remind me on me very much thats how i box too, and i also have 1-3 record like you. wish you luck in next fights!

I personally believe criticism is useless at this point. 4th fight, you just need more experience to understand and appreciate your problems. Lets discuss good stuff:

    1. lateral movements in the beginning were not bad, more effort and you can be very evasive at long range
    2. you do look relaxed like people mentioned - it is great! do not loose this!
    3. I liked your punches more than the other guy, it is just that your range was off and you missed a lot :). YOur right hand looks better because you do not overextend like the other guy (till third round when you got tired).
    4. Beginning of the third round was special! You switched the guard ala mayweather style, did couple of stylish defense moves, drop left hand for hip jab, it looked fun, really! I guess you mind was "if I am loosing, lets do it with style". You jab and long left hook got more snap like that. Why you changed that? Because of the coach yelling?
