This is what I'm saying. It shouldn't be any big deal. But because som ting wong, thats why we haven't heard from him. ****! atsch
why should pavlik come out and give a public announcment that he has a staff infection in his hand? everybody else already did..
I'm just flippin' out over the whole situation. I still think he should make a video telling all us concerned fans that he's OK & will be back better than ever.
Until Goose or Arum come out and say that their fighters are fighting different opponents I feel that they are still trying to work through this setback and make another viable date that suits both of them. Wishful thinking, yes, but I still think it may happen.
Hopkins ruined Pavlik. Completely took his confidence away. He never expected to get beaten down in a boxing masterclass by a man old enough to be his father. Hell, NO ONE expected that Pavlik lost the fight in the worst sort of way. He was Undisputed Champion, but Hopkins completely outclassed him and won every round. When you have a supposed champion fighter, and they get beaten not by KO but by a fighter that simpler BETTER than them, better in a way that even on their best night, they know they couldnt beat them, that is devastating loss. Its not a matter of an off night, or the opponent being on fire. Its knowing that there is another fighter out there that will always be able to beat you, will always be better than you, and that no matter how hard you try, you cant change that. Hopkins took Pavliks heart. I think Pavlik from this point on might defend the belt 1 or 2 more times and then move up to 168, but I believe his days of being an elite fighter are soon to be over within the next year or so.
I think its too early to tell if Hopkins has ruined Pavliks career. I will agree though that he did take a mighty one sided beating that night which may have worked on his psyche but lets agree here, all fighters have adversity to overcome. Soon we will see how pavlik copes with it by watching his next move.
I am inclined to give Kelly Pavlik and Arum benefit of the doubt. I will wait and see what really happens from here on out, Pavlik and Arum obviously brought a lot of disappointment lately, but a staphe infection can resurface rather easily. Although there's absolutely no excuse possible to have missed three appointments :-( With all of the stuff surrounding Kelly Pavlik lately, I am concerned that his very promising rise to the middleweight scene will have just have been a shooting star scene.
Well since you're telling us your opinion, and what you believe, rather than sticking to the facts, I'll tell you what I beleive. I believe you are full of **** as a Christmas goose. I have no idea why you ignorant mother****ers so adamantly refuse to learn a ****ing thing about staph! For the 1,000,00,000,000,000th time, there is absolutley nothing unusual about KP's problems with his infection. THIS IF THE WAY STAPH ****ING ACTS! Just one time you moronic cocksuckers need to surprise me by actually educating yourselfs before you post!
How did he miss three appointments, vital for recovering from a very serious infection which staphe infections are?
I doubt that. Pavlik was fighting in a division above his best weight and he had an elbow injury and was recovering from a sickness. He was ill during his training camp. He looked like **** during the weigh-in photos. Man he looked sick and disorientated staring off into space while Hopkins glared at him. He showed great heart and courage in that fight. Most fighters would get K.O'ed or find a way to quit from such a beating. He'll be back once his hand problem is resolved. He's probably just learned not to go into a big fight unless completely heathy. He's still a young guy, too young to let a loss destroy his confidence the way you suggest.
Yes he did. He destroyed Pavlik, not in a Tyson vs Spinks way, but in the way a kid gets a beating from his dad. The psychological part is worst. I like seeing those white trash punks getting pissed off at the end, though. ******s.
It was a good post. I've just got to calm down & remember all those things he said. I don't believe Kelly is shot mentally from the B Hop fight. He's put that behind him now. He just had a run of bad luck with his hand infection. Hopefully, that heals up real soon 100%. It still would be nice to hear something positive from Pavlik, when all his fans are having trouble sorting things out, cause we have little information to go on. ((((((((((((((GET WELL KP)))))))))))))))))
