By the way I give Jim Watt a bit of stick but he did commentary with Reg Gutteridge on ITV that night and was very good. That was 24 years ago, unfortunately he is still repeating the same lines, bless him.
For a British rollercoaster Kevin Mitchell vs Carl Johanneson was a belter I like a bit of pure boxing so like watching: Roy Jones jr vs Johnson Lomachenko vs Russell jr Calzaghe vs Lacy Calzaghe vs Kessler For revenge or 'they deserve a beating' type fights: Pac vs Margarito Mosley vs Margarito
I don't like watching it, but I keep watching Hatton Pacquiao for some reason. I think im trying to find a way in which Hatton could have done better.
Hamed v either Sanchez or Kelly. Must have watched each about 50 times. Eubank v Watson 2. Watched it about 100 times and I still don't see it coming.
apart from the obvious ward v gatti fights I also like re-watching the evenly matched domestic fights which include good KO's like Gomez v Alex Arthur, Mitchell v Murray & Jamie Moore v Macklin.
Brook-Jones 1&2 and Brook-Porter Hatton vs. Mayweather & Pacquiao Pacquiao vs. Margarito, Cotto & Rios Lewis vs. Klitschko Haye vs. Chisora Khan vs. Peterson
I know the ending was tragic and its not enjoyable viewing but the benn vs mccellan fight still gives me shivers the atmosphere was amazing and how them two went toe to toe for 10 rounds has never been repeated imo both so brave with thousands screaming with every punch thrown two men who for our entertainment were never the same again
First time Naz was headlining in America as well and his first proper 'step up'. Naz gets dropped in the first round from a looping right hand but bounces back up. Second round he gets put down inside the first minute, 20 or so seconds later he puts Kelley down but it gets ruled as a slip... then later on in the round Larry Merchant comes out with "Hamed is supposed to have power, but we haven't seen any evidence of that.." then BOOM Hamed drops him with a straight left, the heaviest knock down of the fight so far. Round 3 neither go down, but Hamed is unorthodox floating/jumping about the ring both landing some good shots. 4th round, both start trading... Hamed drops him half way through the round - 2 knock downs apiece - Kelley gets up, Hamed sticks it on him but with his unorthodox style gets another knock down against him when his glove hits the floor.... count gets done.. 20-30 seconds later he put's Kelley down for the count with another big left hand. What a fight.
