The facts are Pac and Floyd fukd us over as fans... BOTH OF THEM ARE EQUALLY TO BLAME in my eyes... You can choose sides, don't matter.. Truth is either side could have given in at any time and made the **** happen...Don't get emotional..

Im glad this fight has been made, great for boxing I really hope they hype it up well and people get behind it!

Whoever wins this fight gets alot of respect in my opinion because neither opponent is an easy fight, I know idiots will say Shane is washed up but even Manny didnt want none of him at 143 or whatever it was.

So it would be nice for people to respect May and Shane and give them their props this is the 2nd best fight in Welter that could have been made!

Ellerbe looks like such a creepy ******* when Mosley confronts Mayweather in the ring after the Marquez fight. That slight smile never comes off his face :D

I've watched that promo 10 times minimum. I love it!!

It's a good fight, but Floyd will win almost as easily as Manny will against Clottey.

Mosley never had great footwork and I believe this is where you have to match Floyd to beat him. Mosley looked spectacular against Margarito, because he just came to him and Shane could throw right hand bombs all night. Floyd won't be coming to him. Mosley is pretty much a stationary fighter and Floyd will just pot-shot him en route to a 120-108 or 119-109. Shane does have power, but not single punch knock-out power and I don't believe he could hit Floyd often enough.

Shane would've done better against Manny, because he keeps coming all night and thus always presents opportunities to be countered. I still would've seen Manny win it, but this fight would've been a battle.

Manny vs. Clottey is totally useless, it will be like Manny vs. Oscar just with more punches landing on the guard of Clottey. But he is way too slow to consistently reach or counterpunch Manny and he simply does not have the power to hurt him. This fight will definitely be a 120-108 shutout, albeit Manny will not T/KO him thanks to the tight guard. Zab Judah had Clottey beat before he had his usual mid-fight mental breakdown.

Manny - Floyd is still the fight to see, because Manny matches Floyd in footspeed and exceeds him in handspeed, power and combination punching, but Floyd is the master counterpuncher and defensive boxer, a combination that Marquez used to great effect against Manny, although I believe Manny to have displayed greater boxing skills in the Diaz/DLH/Hatton/Cotto fights. I think Floyd could potentially hit Manny often enough to even knock him out, because his power is underrated. I also think Manny has all the abilities to defeat Floyd and he's probably the only active fighter to do so, but it would be a matter of Roach decyphering Floyd's actually limited bag of tricks.

But since that fight isn't going to happen, what we have now is probably as good as it gets.

What's the big deal?It was the only game in town for Mayweather. He tested the waters with rumours of Hatton and Malifaggi and the public said bull****.He has no other option other than Mosley to salvage his pathetic Reputation.
Hopefully Sugar can catch some magic and put Mayweather on the canvas, were he belongs.:good

Unfortunately that is the truth. HBO refused to sign off on anything other than Floyd versus someone like Shane or Paul Williams, it just wasn't going to happen this time.

I applaud Floyd for fighthing Shane though, he could have simply decided not to fight. Shane will be, without a doubt, the best welterweight he has faced, and the best fighter he has faced since Castillo. I tend to think Floyd will win, he is the better technical boxer and Shane is probably not as good as he looked versus Margacheato, keep in mind at that point Tony's mind probably wasn't in the fight as he just got caught cheating. Still Shane did what he had to do, and is certainly better than Judah, Baldomir, Hatton and Marquez. So a win would be a quality win.
