Here is my latest scorecard for Marco Antonio Barrera vs Erik Morales I, 2000. The greatest fight I have ever seen, and I'm not accustomed to scoring even rounds, but some of these were so hard to split I felt it was the right thing to do.

I'll watch it again and get back to you, but I'm almost certain I had Barrera by 3 or 4 points as well. It was a clear win for MAB in my book.

8-4 or 9-3 MAB plus the KD

Ive seen this fight more than any other fight, it took me about 10 viewings with 0 sound (about 80 viewing all in at a rough guess, maybe more) to score this fight with no even rds.......

    1. Barrera 10-9
    2. Barrera 10-9
    3. Morales 10-9
    4. Morales 10-9
    5. Morales 10-9
    6. Morales 10-9
    7. Morales 10-9
    8. Barrera 10-9
    9. Morales 10-9
    10. Morales 10-9
    11. Barrera 10-9
    12. Barrera 10-9 (I dont count bull**** KD`s, I dont care if the real judges HAD to score the KD, my card isnt to try understand why those 3 came up with their score, its what I scored personally from what I seen)

Ps. No robbery, too many rds were close, I have 0 probs with anyone that has MAB the winner because there was no loser in my eyes here... I only have a problem with the dumbasses that claim domination in MABs favour.

Now we are talking. I probably had the very same scoring, resulting in a draw at the end of the fight. In fact, I had a draw for each of their fight.

It was a great competitive fight but theres no way in hell that Barrera lost that fight only biased Morales fanatics have Morales winning that fight.

Neither really `lost` the fight I dont think, it was an even contest throughout, almost every rd was very competitive... I think the drama in the 12th with the fake KD looked bad for Morales, it seemed that the last rd would be the rd to split them as it was so close & most rds were hard to score so naturally when MAB gets awarded a KD it looks unjust when they award EM the winner.

It was a really close fight all the way, Barrera closed the last rd better but it was 10-9, not 10-8, so no robbery, harsh on Barrera ?... of course it was but it would have been just as harsh on Morales if that fake KD gave MAB the fight by a point.

I really think if Barrera had just won that last rd without the KD drama, we wouldnt have heard the word `robbery` nearly as much, opinions would be more down the middle as opposed to more in Barrera`s favour.

    I don't score even rounds.

Last time I remember it was Barrera 115-112. Didn't think it was a KD but I go with the official Referee's scoring.

    Why ?
    Its YOUR card.

Anyway, 7-5 for MAB is acceptable.... 9-3 is not (Powerpunchers card)

So, if the ref deducts a point from a fighter you like and you didn't think he should have, you just ignore that as well?

You scored round 9 for Morales even though he was hurt at three different points in the round? Don't worry, you're not alone.

Bill is right, this wasn't a robbery. Rounds 3 and 6 could have easily been scored for Morales and then you would have had a different scoring. Likewise, round 11 was close.

He stunned him three times, but fact is within a couple of seconds of each time he was stunned he was landing flush return shots on Barrera and in between those three moments it was Morales consistently landing clean solid shots on Barrera.

In a way, this round was a microcosm of the fight. Who do you like, the busier guy landing more or the guy the landing the harder though more sporadic shots?

I don't have the exact score now but I did score it while watching it in 2000. I had Morales the winner but I could see the fight being scored either way... it was a close fight.
