For my sins I watch a lot of Jr's snapchats. He's in incredible shape, but... he just looks like a middleweight to me. He doesn't look any bigger to when he was stepping on the scales below 12st.

I know it's just the eye test, but I watched Groves vs Cox again and Groves on fight night looks massive compared to Jr in training. I think we're going to be looking at somewhere near a 10lb difference on the night.

Even if it's not that much, it's enough to make a Jr win all the more impressive.

He's not a huge super middleweight, he's very slim in build for a middleweight.

It's amazing what weight some fighters put on between the weigh in and entering the ring. The biggest cases I have heard of on these shores are Scott Harrison and Alex Arthur who I believe put on 20-24ibs, which is even more incredible to think they were fighting at featherweight and super featherweight respectively at the time.

Eubank jrs a pretty skinny guy actually, you can see how skinny he is in some traning videos! I think his muscles and shoulders make him seem bigger, nearly like derry matthew shoulders. If he was just a normal guy who didn't train he would probably be a drip.

I think that at the end of the day it will be JNR by UD or late TKO,or Groves by KO.I'd like a Groves win to shut up SNR.

It’s nuts mate. The toll it must take on the body, including the brain. I think they should weigh them on the day to stop it personally. Weight classes are there to stop size/weight mismatches. Khan vs Canelo was a silly match anyway, but the size difference on the night was just huge. Drugs are rightly banned to stop fighters getting an unfair advantage but dehydrating is allowed...I dunno, i’m probably just being a tart but that’s my thoughts on it.

Totally agree, have same opinion. In Scott Harrison's case I think the mental strain to make weight never helped the choices he made out of the ring. Near the end of his run as World Champion he would often go of the rails in last few weeks of camps. Remember Wayne McCullough when fighting Scott Harrison said at the weigh in be looked at Harrison and he looked like he was starving and he thought I have got this, then on fight night he said I thought who's this his big brother it was like fighting a welterweight. Said he was the hardest opponent he had fought and his average punch was hardest he faced.

Exactly what I've been saying for years. It's in-ring weight that matters. A 6pm (or later) weigh -in on fight night is the ONLY answer.
