they did it for the undercard fight that preceded margo/cotto but not for the main event for some reason.
amazing ..probably didn't wanna tell the world the fight for the 147 pound title was being fought by fighters weighing 154 + ... same day weigh ins are in order ...
Because it's unofficial, I thought not every boxer agreed to do it. I don't recall seeing it during the broadcast, but I watched it on the live stream which dropped in and out a few times.
i know ...that's what i'm saying ..i think everyone should fight same day weigh ins and get at the weight they belong at ...stop with this advantage ****
I think both camps have to agree in order for HBO to show the fight night weights. I'm assuming one of the camps didn't want to. I read on another site that Margo came in at 165, and Cotto 154... but it's not from a very credible source... so I dunno.
There are some states that require fighters to wieght under a certain limit on fight night as well and I think one of the sanctioning bodies requires that fighters weight in the day of the fight as well. So in those cases HBO will report it. Also they often ask the fighters to step on their scale the night of the fight. But often they choose not to.
