I knew this would be a good fight when I saw it on paper. It's two guys not going anywhere fast in their careers, but they match up so well together. They're turning each other's faces into hamburger, and I am enjoying every minute of it.
Oh **** that was an awesome fight, and that last punch looked like a comic book picture with the blood flying perfectly out of Sell's mouth. I also like how Nate knew he was out and didn't want to pound the poor guy until the ref told him he wasn't going to stop it.
Damn good start to the night. That's just good match making. It doesn't take superstars to make a good fight, just two evenly matched guys willing to give all they've got. I wish the UFC would put together more battles like this. Man, I loved that.
it was a matter of time before someone got ktfo, I thought it was going to be Nate, hr just sticks his head out there for the taking, I could see how Franklin put him to sleep.
I had a feeling Nate would be the winner, especially after he kept getting up after eating some big shots. He didn't look that sharp tonight, but Nate's got some good power. Apparently, Rich Franklin has some damn good power too! Quarry showed a sturdy chin and some heart tonight, but Rich sent him to night-night land with one shot.
Oh, and after that awesome fight, I hope Quarry retires. He's not exactly cut out to fight the top guys at this point, and while his power is still there, he looked pretty slow. Good guy, and I'm glad he got the win. But I'd hate to see him get hurt (and a guy like Silva would absolutely clobber him).
Did Goldie just say Liddell and Griffin would in the main event Saturday? There are so many problems with this broadcast tonight...it's kind of funny. Maybe we should go back to the no audio? atsch
