Poor Houston. I do like the guy, and his standup style is fun to watch. His knees are brutal. His ground game though...well, it's beyond awful.
Houston can't beat ground guys. But, he's entertaining as hell. You'd think the UFC would throw a striker his way, not a BJJ blackbelt. I'd like to see Houston vs. Rich Franklin. I think Franklin is the better fighter, but that would be an insanely tough matchup based purely on styles. Franklin's no ground guru, but he's more polished on his feet. Still, Houston has him in raw power by a mile.
This is the first time in oz ufc fans get to watch a event(non ppv) live. MMA is starting to take over here in oz. Loving it. Now all we need is some decent aussie fighters.lol.
Nope. There haven't been that many fights tonight, since they've all been going several rounds deep. If Diaz sinks in a quick sub here, we may get to watch a quick KO from the undercard.
I just read that Sakara vs Vedepo(or w/e) was quick but won't ruin it for those who haven't seen/heard anything. Hopefully we'll get to see that. P.S. Does Nate Diaz sound a little like Mos Def? The way he speaks just screams "I'm high as ****".
I'm almost 100% certain Joe Rogan is stoned as **** right now... "He's so slippery man..." He said "slippery" at least 25 times. Did he make a bet or something on how many times he can say "slippery"? Like in "Super Troopers" saying "meow" instead of "now"? P.S. So much for an extra fight. Seems we're gona miss half of "Season 8" of Tuf.
Poor Danzig got pinned by Guida and lost a UD. That Guida is a handfull for anybody but I find his style frustrating to watch. The look on Danzig's face said it all.....Guida just pinned him him against the fence and the matt the whole 3rd round.
I'm with you on that one. Josh Neer has FAR exceeded my expectation, he would've won udner Pride rules too.
