Dunno what to say to that. I thought it was a great fight. Just answering the question set in my own opinion. Didn't expect a direct rebuttal on a poll thread.

Castillo vs Corrales.. what a come from behind victory, absolutely down and out and managed to come back and win. They don't get better than that and the rest of the fight was damn interesting too.
Can't believe it took 20 posts for somebody to point out the obvious! It really isn't close. With due respect to those other fights (some real good ones in there) Castillo Coralles will go down in history not only as the best fight of the decade but the best (at least top 3) of all time.
Well everyone has their own taste and opinion. Personally Corrales-Castillo 1 is my #1 all-time, ahead of Ali-Frazier 3, Saad-Johnson 1, and Moore-Durelle 1.
Its a very tough question... From excitement I think there are 4 pretty equal 1 of those with a higher level ofJL skill (em-mab I) another one with one of the greatest endings(JLC-COR) and 2 3rd WW !!! I SEE SKill first so based on that i would go: 1) EM-MAB 1 2) JLC-CC 3) RM-IZZY 4) GATTI-WARD To place the 2nd and 3rd spots was very difficult, light edge to JLC-CC because of the ending...
Not in my book, here is a list of fights I definitely think are better (keep in mind, there are other that MIGHT be better but Ive left out) Morales-Barrera I Chacon-Edwards II Leonard-Duran I Ali-Frazier III Chacon-Limon IV All of those are better than Castillo-Corrales I which is very overrated IMO, maybe Corrales death helped it grow over the yrs I dont know... dont get me wrong, great fight, probably cracks my top 10 personally but definitely not the best, no way.
I agree with most of your post. Corrales/Castillo 1 comes in at three on my top 10 list usually. Fantastic fight, but perhaps it's a slight stretch to say it's "not even close".
Possibly, but Hagler-Hearns had the best single rd in boxing history & the reason that doesnt make mines (& a lot of others) top 5 is because we judge the fight as a WHOLE. I dont think Corrales-Castillo is as good as Morales-Barrera from start to finish, it only makes my top 10 BECAUSE of the ending tho it was a very good fight & would make my top 20 without the ending probably, nothing against it but I think its been a bit blown up TBH.
Best single round in Boxing history? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IupyEYB-27c This would probably get my vote.
