    10-9 Chacon
    10-8 Chacon
    10-8 Boza
10-9 Boza (Boza controls most of the round, but gets rattled in the closing seconds)
    10-9 Boza
    10-9 Chacon
    10-9 Boza
    10-9 Chacon
    10-9 Chacon
10-9 Chacon (Boza does close strong, so this could go the other way)
    10-9 Chacon
    10-8 Chacon

    115-110 Chacon

Not sure if the first round KD was called against Boza. He dominated the round otherwise, so the round would be 10-9 in his favor. 6th was awfully close, and rounds 4 and 10 could have gone either way, too. But, it's still a fight that I feel Chacon managed to eke out by virtue of the knockdowns and an incredible late round surge. Pretty incredible given that he was also dropped and bled all over the place for an extended portion of the contest.

This one was done a few years ago.

I did a detailed round by round post then

I had Boza winning by a few points.

Back when this fight happened most scribes had Boza winning

The first round knockdown was called.

115-110 for Chacon is the most generous card for Chacon I have ever seen other than the one WBC judge who somehow scored it 117-111

He wasnt nearing death but he was bleeding to the point that the doctor threatened to stop the fight multiple times. Flip Homansjy said "one more round." Then Boza won the round and Chacon was still bleeding profusely. Homansjy somehow changed his mind. This is the same Homansjy who allowed JC Chavez to quit from a forehead cut immediately without trying to fight with it even one round. I think Pacheco saw the doctor was not following through on his threats to stop the fight despite the cuts not improving. Plus he probably understood the long term ramifications for Chacon.

Could easily have a closer card on another viewing. There were, as mentioned, at least three close rounds that could have been scored for either fighter.

But, I did feel that Chacon's cleaner punching over the second half warranted him winning the majority of the rounds in that portion of the fight and with the KD's I suspect my card will always skew toward a close but clear Chacon victory.

Round 1: Even (10-10), tough to score
Round 2: Chacon (10-8), Could also be 10-9 due to Boza's domination, but Chacon still landed some good punches after the knockdown at the end of the round.
    Round 3: Boza (10-8)
    Round 4: Boza (10-9)
    Round 5: Even (10-10)
    Round 6: Chacon (10-9)
    Round 7: Boza (10-9), close
    Round 8: Boza (10-9)
    Round 9: Even (10-10)
    Round 10: Chacon (10-9)
    Round 11: Chacon (10-9), close
    Round 12: Chacon (10-8)

    I scored it: 115-113 Chacon

What a great fight and great fighters. Amazing how Bobby Chacon was able to turn the fight, despite his cuts.

I am going to watch this one tonight, but I
Looked back at the last time we did this and out of 6 cards rounds 1-2 were divided on 10-8 and 10-9

    Rbr scores
    1 Chacon6-0-0 (4/10-8 rds...2 10-9)
    2 Chacon 6-0-0 (5/10-8 rds...1/10-9)

I am interested in how I (and as a whole) see those 2 rounds.

I always struggle putting together an all time best fights, because there are 100’s to choose from. This one qualifies for my money, and the only major negative is Pachecho and even he was not able to ruin this, though he gives a valiant effort lol. I am not fond of the 117-111 card and it seems a bit wide to me. I could see either guy winning this close, but to me...I don’t know I just don’t like that card lol.

    Chacon vs Boza Edwards II
    1 Chacon 10-8
    2 Chacon 10-8
    3 Boza 10-8
    4 Boza
    5 Boza
    6 Even
    7 Boza
    8 Chacon
    9 Boza
    10 Chacon
    11 Boza
    12 Chacon 10-8
    Chacon 113-112
