NP bro! Life happens. I started scoring one 2 nights ago and got called away...going back to it now lol. I hate when that happens because I get out of the ebb and flow. Not sure if I svould start back at the beginning but I really don’t feel like it lol. Good luck and looking forward to your card.

Well, the ebb and flow in this one is all over the place so I'm just gonna continue from round 7! I'm intrigued to see what my tally's going to be at the end. Hoping I avoid scoring another draw but we'll see what happens!

    May vs. JLC

    1. May - Clear
    2. Even - May controlled more of the round, but Castillo landed the two best punches of the round.
    3. JLC - May controlled the first half of the round, but again, the best punches were landed by JLC and he controlled last half of round
    4. May/even - Mostly uneventful round, but if I give it to anybody it's May
    5. May - pretty clear
    6. JLC clear
    7. JLC clear
    8. Even - JLC did better in the round for my taste but got a point take away. Not much in it, but I think it was a JLC round
    9. Even/May - Just couldn't give this round to anybody so I scored it even, but if made to pick, it would likely be May
    10. Even - I believe May slightly edged the round, but with the point it's an even round on my card
    11. JLC - Tough round for me to score. Could be an even round on another viewing. I just feel JLC edges it will his workrate
    12. JLC - pretty clear

Tougher fight to score than I remembered. I had more even rounds that I remembered having. Close fight, wouldn't have been a robbery either way. I just liked JLC body of work more than May, and his aggression/workrate was the deciding factor. If May had deterred him more with big shots or matador'd better, he could've reversed the workrate edge, but imo he didn't do enough of it to do so

    Final tally:

    May vs. JLC
    3-5-4

If I give May 9, which is entirely possible, we get 4-5-3

Man you got 4 Even rounds, That tops me and scar's 3 and pats 2 … It is a hard fight to score. Which so far says to me, a 9-3 card for May is hard to accept. But oh well

My thoughts exactly. I also didn't like all the even rounds... but two of those were for point deductions. The other two rounds though were hard to separate them. I guess I'm Mr. Even for this fight.

Cool deal thanks for sharing....I actually like all the even rounds, and thought about it during Bowe Holyfield 1, where I had Bowe winning 7-5 in rounds + 1 10-8 round scoring 115-112 For Bowe....but I thought 6 rounds were real close and Bowe won 5-1 in clearer rounds...I don’t think 119-114 would be a bad representation of that fight either.

    Mayweather-Castillo

Well, that was a ***** to score! So much so that I went back and immediately rewatched and rescored it! And I reckon if I scored it again, I’d get a different result each time.

Honestly, one of the toughest fights I’ve ever scored. This made Leonard-Hagler seem straightforward.

Overall impression was that Mayweather took the first half by boxing and moving effectively. Castillo sent a lot of time chasing him around the ring without much affect. Second half Mayweather stopped doing what had worked and allowed Castillo to close the space and become more effective. I don’t think Castillo was necessarily better but he was busier and that swung the fight back his way.

As for the result, it’s a pick’em really. Castillo probably deserved at least a share of the result.

    Oh yeah - the scorecard!

    Mayweather-Castillo
    1 10-9
    2 10-9
    3 10-10
    4 10-9
    5 10-9 (v close)
    6 10-10
    7 9-10
8 9-9 (v close, Castillo just edged it but ended even with point deduction)
9 9-10 (messy round, Floyd being outhustled and not throwing enough)
10 9-10 (point deduction for Floyd in a pretty even round)
11 9-10 (v close, Floyd landing some better shots this round but tactically odd, infighting with Castillo who was just a bit busier)
12 9-10 (Castillo’s round. Floyd not doing nearly enough)

    Mayweather 114-115 Castillo

Trying to put this together for the end of the week tally and don’t want to misrepresent your card...you have 2 potential outcomes....

But Castillo 116-113 is what it looks like you are reporting? Just want to make sure I got it right

After the first 5 rounds of Mayweather-Castillo, I have Floyd up 5-0 (like PhillyPhan and the Colonel). The third round was close though and I was tempted to score it even.

Not yet - was going to try and get to it before the end of the weekend. I had it 115-113 Mayweather when I watched it live so will be interested to see whether I score it the same way or not this time.
