    Gonzalez vs Villoria

    R1: 9 - 10
(Sharp from Villoria. Classic Choco feel out round)
    R2: 9 - 10
(Choco more effective, but slow start costs him)
    R3: 10 - 8
(Beautiful. Difference between a very good offensive fighter and an ATG one)
    R4: 10 - 9
(Close, but Choco is a different level. More effective)
    R5: 10 - 9
    (wider for Choco)
    R6: 10 - 9
    (Hard but clear)
    R7: 10 - 9
(One sided here. Beautdul angles from Choco)
    R8: 10 - 9
    (Villoria very tough)
    R9: TKO
(Villoria is a warrior. Great body shot. Bad beating at the end.)

    78 - 73 Chocolatito

    Notes:
    • Beautiful performance from Roman. One of his best.
    • Masterful footwork, offense and defense blended into one. True ATG IMO, and would beat quite a few historical greats from 105 - 112.
    • Blocks, slips and parries, rarely caught flush.
    • Scorecard doesn't reflect the hard pace.

Good card and reasoning, are you going to do the Estrada fight?

    Gonzalez vs Estrada
    Light Fly

    Gonzalez - Estrada

    R1: 9 - 10
(does Choco ever win the 1st round?)
    R2: 9 - 10
    (Sharp from Estrada. Tight.)
    R3: 10 - 9
    (Brilliant. Estrada work less effective.)
    R4: 10 - 9
    (Close but clear. Brilliant fight).
    R5: 10 - 9
    (Brilliant ring cutting and combos.)
    R6: 10 - 9
    (Brilliant angles; brutal gut shots.)
    R7: 10 - 9
    (Clear)
    R8: 10 - 9
    (These exchnages!)
    R9: 9 - 10
(Flashy work here. Rare slower round.)
    R10: 10 - 9
    (Close, brutal, strategic. Amazing round)
    R11: 9 - 10
    (Close. Great inside work)
    R12: 10 - 9
    (Wow! Amazing finale)

    TOTAL: 116 - 112 Chocolatito

    Notes:
    • Deserving of a re-watch. Thanks FOTW!
    • High skill from both men. Difference is effect. Choco is more effective and less cuffing.
    • Choco has master defense.
    • One of the highest skilled bouts ever sub - Fly IMO.
    • Estrada loses when he holds his feet. Unfortunately, he's against a prime Chocolatito.

    Good card, agreed.

I'll probably do SSR-Gonzalez & Estrada week after next.
    I'll do Hagler-Watts & Briscoe this week.

I would ask if you do a vote, but not many seem to care about these threads unfortunately. They'd rather talk about Primo's dick size. So bombs away!

I just watched Watts Hagler this week and the Briscoe fight within the past year...neither is terribly exciting unfortunately.

So I take it that's a vote for SSR then.

And I agree, I've watched both in the last 72 hours, but there's also some wiggle room for rounds given
