Hopefully we will get some cards in, for this fight. I have not watched it in a few years? So I feel overdue. Got to many meetings this week so I won’t get to it till Friday but I am going to revisit this one.

Here's how I had the fight. Notice it is absolutely not in favour of Ali.

Watch the remastered one. It's SOOO much clearer, and easier to watch.

Excellent post. Two remarks I'd like to make
    1. I thought Ali decisively won the 1st round, and I don't think it was close at all let alone, a round for Frazier.

    2. Frazier did not knock Ali down in the 11th. Ali slipped on water in Frazier's corner which Mercante verified which is why he didn't call the KD.

But to be truthful the knockdown in round 15 was quite a knockdown, that perfect left hook thrown by Smoking Joe Frazier. First time since 1963 that Muhammad Ali that hit the canvas, Henry Cooper did it with his left to the pre title Ali on June 18 1963.

You mean the 12th? Yea it was a fair call. It was a good solid punch but the water is probably why he went down
The 11th round would have to be a 10-8 based on how hurt Ali was. He almost fell out of the ring.

Looking forward to seeing your card- I think it's going to be interesting to see how people score those early rounds.

I agree with you that it was a knockdown in the 11th. Obviously. I don't know what fight Dunphy was calling, but he was right in the 15th when Frazier nailed Muhammad with a left hook a near the end and he said if Joe could of followed up with another punch instantly he would have knocked Ali out.

It was a very, very dramatic slip in the 15th - it just so happened that Frazier threw a perfectly choreographed left hook at the exact moment Ali fell backwards.
