Fight of the year so far?

I only hold my breath when I am sitting at the bottom of a pool for endurance training

 

For me it was Matthysse vs. Molina. Stevenson/Fonfara had one dramatic round, but that was pretty much the extent of its FOY credentials.

Matthysse vs Molina was one of my all time favourite fights and easily fight of the year.

 

A great round was Lopez vs PDL R2, ouch!

You missed listing Hopkins-Shumenov.
I mean, you listed Stevenson-Fonfara and Guerrero vs Kamagai, so why come no BHOP-Shumenov?

 

I taught lomchenko Russell was fight of the year I know anyone with half a brain could see it was a mismatch from the get go though , Loma out on a clinic though

 

I finally saw Koki Eto vs Ardin Diale. It wasn't as good as people said. Round 8 was pretty crazy though.

I understand all of these but Fonfara's fight with Stevenson. I didn't think it was close to a FOTY candidate. Basically saw Stevenson dominating most of the fight but getting hurt in one round and knocked down and Fonfara making it a little competitive for a little bit after but most of the fight was Stevenson kicking the crap out of Fonfara. Fonfara was in such bad shape at one point he turned around and literally ran away. I didn't think there was much drama to it TBH. One round of legit hope for Fonfara didn't make it a great fight the way I saw it. I'm going to have to go Matthysse/Molina. Edge of my seat the whole time. Both guys were in constant jeopardy. It was amazing.

 

FML! lol I should not vote when I'm this tired. I went right and voted for Stevenson/Fonfara. I had a very stressful day at work. My brain is fried. Good night, everybody.
