Fight of the year so far

    We are now over the half way point of the 2008 boxing year and so far the year has produced a number of exciting fights. So far what fight has been your favorite and why.

    I personally voted for the Katsidis/Casamayor fight because of the knockdowns, the blood, the knockdown through the ropes, the check hook, Kaisidis' helmet, the first round knockdowns, and Casa's ability to overcome a young, relentless, exciting fighter after coming off of a poor performance in his previous fight.


    Oh and I don't know how I could have forgotten to add Marquez v Vasquez 3 as part of the poll. I doubt anybody is gonna vote for Calzaghe v Hopkins so you can click that one if you liked Marquez v Vasquez. Sorry.

    i also think katsidis-casamayor is foty thus far, i can't consider torres-holt 2. Its a short fight

    i enjoyed the scenario of the pavlik n taylor fight so i voted there

    Hopkins vs. Calzaghe is being underrated. It was the fight of the decade.

    A lot of excellent fights this year, but it's Vasquez-Marquez 3 by a mile. It was basically a perfect fight. I don't know how it could have really been any better. Cotto-Margarito is the only one I see coming up that can overtake it, but I doubt it will happen. Vasquez-Marquez 3 is one of the very best fights I have ever seen.

    Marquez v. Vasquez was one of the greatest fights ever.

    Casa vs. Katsidis did rock though. :deal
