    Agreed.

Marquez - MAB and Pavlik - Miranda as runner ups.

This of course also having "level of skill" involved in the Fight of the Year equation.

Miranda-Pavlik was exciting for as long as it lasted.

Oh yes both should get credit but more on Kats because he kept coming in for more exchanges. Kats fighting style made it more exciting. I've seen Amonsot fight at least twice before this and he is an average fighter in terms of action and bringing in excitement.

amonsat lost because of one glaring ****ing thing he did over and over. and that was drop the left when he jabbed, or pulled it back. if he had just keep the left where it needed to be he wouldn't have been countered NEARLY as much and wouldn't have been dropped early

    Cotto v judah for me.

And at the other end of the spectrum.

"****ing waste of time - fight of the year" to date:

De la hoya v Mayweather (Winner)

    Winky v Hopkins (Runner up)

I agree. In retrospect it was a bit onesided but upon first glance it was a very exciting fight.

That Kid Diamond fight where pretty much everyone had the underdog winning was a damn good fight, too.
