Which fight do you guys think is FOTY material?

Mine is still one of the earliest fights this year.

    Massiev vs Dorticos.

Dorticos started hot, bigger guy with great stamina. Massiev patiently and masterfully put a ass whipping on that man. Then he closed the deal with a huge left hook counter! Ah man. Fights/KOs like that don't come around often.

Even though it didn't contain copious amounts of blood and violence, for me it's Lomachenko-Linares. Or Rungvisai-Estrada.

I agree. This has been my favourite fight of the year so far.

I chuckle everytime I see Murat referred to as 'Massiev' after seeing that training camp photo where he made Andre the Giant's bone structure look like the Wealdstone Raider's (type him up Americans).

Gassiev - Dorticos it is for me too. Plenty of other brilliant fights, but that one had everything: significance, drama, big KO, great skills.

1/4 should better be on the list. Ortiz was so close yet sooo far. Great fight.
Idk about they others. We need links bro.

Great fight. Lots of punches, but something was lacking or is it just me?

I guess it wasn't as back and forth as some of the other fights mentioned. Valdez kinda controlled it but he really did have to work HARD for it.

He definitely did. Not a big fan, but he definitely gained my attention and respect after that fight. Both did.

Dorticos was hitting Gassiev's gloves all night, Gassiev has good defense, not many punches went through.

Gassiev vs Dorticos for me was a great scrap. The chin that man Dorticos displayed was ridiculous.

Best domestic British dust up happened yesterday with Bellotti vs Doyle.

The thing I love most of all about that fight was Gassiev's reaction when he dropped Dorticos with that Russian bear nuclear holocaust left hook from hell. It looked like he was ****** off he'd done it lol

When Dorticos hauled his ass up from that shot, I knew for sure that neither of his parents were Cuban and that there was no goddamn way in hell he'd been born there.

Dorticos landed heavy blows but Gassiev's accuracy, punch speed difference and great footwork was amazing to watch. It really was a masterful display of everything that boxing is about. And the hook was a counter! Makes twice as nice to see.
