So much drama and so much action in this fight. I expect Cotto to display his warrior mentality and come out and fight.

Clottey gave a great effort and has a legit argument to the decision. I think that he dominate most of the rounds but Cotto fought back and fought back hard.

It was a contrast of styles -

I would love to see a rematch

In my opinion this fight is in the runnings with Marquez vs Diaz for fight of the year.

    Thoughts????

Diaz-Marquez was more fast paced, so its still my pick.

The two aforementioned as well as Dunne/Cordoba all have shouts.

Exactly. It was a decent fight, but really doesn't even BELONG in FOTY discussions.

    Why not?

there was blood, a knockdown, drama, good boxing, action, and suspense.

threads like this are made after every decent fight, you can have a fight that has one very good round and 11 boring ones and some idiot will start a thread saying it was the FOTY.

Nahh, a lot of drama in this fight but the last few rounds were very dull and lackluster.

The thought never even crossed my mind when watching it.

No ****ing way was this a FOTY candidate.

It was hardly a great fight, although in fairness, it wasn't terrible, either.

    It was okay.

if by drama you mean clottey's acting then you have a case :p

the action was ok but not anything to get excited about I think. Cotto definitely showed a lot of heart continuing to fight with that nasty cut but still, it made him fight a more cautious fight. Clottey, on the other hand, just didn't have killer instinct so he didn't press his advantages. If anything the action was a bit frustrating for both fighters.

Good, close fight but not FOTY quality. Defnitely not on the level of the past winners.
