I think Wolak/Rodriguez was the most entertaining for the entire duration.

Berto/Ortiz is my favorite memory of the year though, and the fight I'd show to my friends first.

    So I'll go with that.

I think Ortiz vs Berto was the one I had the hardest time deciding who was gonna win once the fight actually started. I thought it would be a dull win for Berto before the fight:patsch

That's how I see it also.

Yeah I thought Berto was going to win, but right when it was signed, I knew it was going to be good.
Both are brawl happy, with suspect chins, power and speed. :woot

The rematch may be even better since Berto hired Conte and will have more stamina

    1. Rios vs. Acosta (you should add this one to the list; honestly, this was a fast paced, even, slugger that had it all)

    2. Ortiz vs. Berto

    3. Rodriguez vs. Wolak

    4. Kirkland vs. Angulo (as time goes it may slip down my list, but round 1 was epic)

    5. Arce vs. Vazquez Jr.

Also: DeMarco vs. Linares (6 and 11 are Round of the Year candidates)

Salido vs Juanma for me wasn't nearly on the same level as the above listed.

Rios vs. Antillon was good, but not good enough considering the duration. Round 1 of that fight was tremendous.

Marquez vs. Concepcion, call me crazy, I think it's a little overrated. Hernan never lost a round in the fight and the result was obvious after a minute of round 2 (and it wasn't quite as dramatic as Kirkland/Angulo).

Maidana vs. Morales was great, just a little short of making the list for me...

Not seen any of this weekend's action yet but Linares v De Marco gets my vote for now. Great scrap...

Berto reminded me of Clottey in the Cotto fight. The fight was his in the last few rounds. All he had to do was pick it up. He just couldn't muster the effort. Reminded me of the Collazo fight.

    Marquez-Conception FOTY imo

Berto-Ortiz & Maidana-Morales were very good as well

Best British fight was/is Appleby-Walsh, great fight for those who havent seen it

    Money/Ortiz

The build up, the hype, the excitement. Everything else fails in comparison to when the PPV KING fights.

I think Kirkland vs Angulo without a doubt has the round of the year.

However, if one actually thinks about the fight as a whole, it was too one sided for it to be fight of the year IMO.

Yeah it was a very winnable fight for Berto. Look what happened when he actually tried to jab and box in round 6. He needed to keep the fight in the center of the ring the whole fight
