    Just got my hands on a copy and have to say it is an amazing read for any historian interested in the era ...

    Really worth it ... gives huge insight into the time, how it effected the sport and the truth about all the recasts we see that have sprung up but have never been verified ...

    I am so enjoying it. I must stress it falls into the sociological catagory of boxing book, far more like a Sullivan and his America than a boxing bio ... if you are interested in the time, to some degree the fighters as more insight is given and the history of film it is terrific!
