He would have to at least gather the balls to fight any of them, especially Cotto, Mosley, & Margo..

Beating Williams, Berto, or maybe even Margo would do nothing to his ATG status..

he doesn't have to fight any of those guys... mayweather retired on top... he jumped up 5 divisions... and beat champs.. lets see someone that u guys love like joe calzaghe jump up to heavyweight... then u tell him to fight all the best guys at heavyweight and see how long he lasts in that division...

I can see him fighting Cotto ... I can see him fighting Pacquiao ... and if Williams is still around and has proved himself ... I can see Floyd fight him as well.

He's only 31 and still has some time left in his prime ... the question is - if he will remain retired or come back.

    In my book he's top 5 p4p all-time w/ him topping my list --

I think his legacy is set no matter who he faces ... those fighter mentioned above are so flawed that once its all said and done and he does fight them and win ... they wouldn't grant much clout.

If he beats an UNDEFEATED Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao...He's the best of all time; he isn't gonna fight those other guys though b/c it adds nothing to his career IMO.

What does beating Pacquiao do? Pacquiao just fought at 135. Started much lower than that, so if pac goes up to 147 and fight PBF and Floyd wins he's #1 all time? Cmon get real

Thats what I had mentioned in my previous post ... that **** does nothing for his career and the list of fighters for him to fight to impove his legacy amoung boxing fans isn't going to stop growing ... there was still doubt in Roy Jones even after he won a ****ing HW title.

He's got to fight at least one of them and it should be the winner of Cotto-Margarito. If he fights anyone else, he may as well stay retired.

If Margarito wins then he shouldn't be allowed to fight Mayweather ... he would have to clean out the division in addition to rematching Cotto. He lost to Paul Williams and there was controversay in his bout with Clottey.

If Cotto wins, does nice numbers, and accepts to fight DLH and wins then it shouldn't be an issue on him fighting PBF next spring.

thats why he doesn't get any respect in my book. he avoided the best fighters (mosely, cotto, margarito) and chose to fight the most overrated fighters (a past his prime de la hoya, hatton, baldomir, gatti). The reason he retired is because he knew he couldn't avoid the best fighters too much longer. This is pretty obvious when he was saying he wanted to rematch hatton after his fight with de la hoya.

If he wanted to, he could fight all those in the next 2 years.

He won't fight any of them.
