Why does beating Cotto, Mosley, Williams, Margarito and Berto ensure him G.O.A.T status? How many of those will be HOF's? Mosley, possibly Cotto, maybe Berto but I would seriously doubt that, so I reckon 2 of those.

Didn't SRR beat something like 24 HOF's? How many would Floyd need to equal this? Another 20?

Floyd is no longer "Prime" @ 31 Yrs Old.
Once we admit that, then we can realise why he stepped away.
His body is not built to fight at WW.
He was at his best well below 147.
[He is a lil' dude frame wise, just like his Dad)

He don't have the combo's anymore...
In his last 2 fight's he was a one punch at a time fighter.
Still slick, but his ability to put punches in combo are shot.
Granted, Uncle Roger prob has alot to do with his deterioration.
    IMO.
He was begining to get hit with punches he normaly would not.
[Vs. Both De La Hoya & Hatton]

Cotto & Margarito are a lose, lose situation for PBF.
Too High risk I should say.

If he beat Mosley, they will say the same thing they said about DLH. He was pass his prime. If he beat Margarita, they will say he is not an elite fighter. If he beat Berto, they will say he's to green at this point. He would only get credit for Cotto at this point.

Makes sense. But what would Roger have to do with the combos?

YOu are ******ed! How would beating those guys compare to what so many before him have done. People back then did alot more than what you are asking PBF to do now.

    This thread is pathetic.

I think Floyd is one of the best fighter's I have ever seen at taking instructions from his corner. Roger's fight plan's have been the major
reason why Floyd has abondoned his combo's, Mamba want's
lil' floyd to throw potshot's and counter as oppossed to beating his opponent's to the punch by being aggressive.

(it work's, no argument there....but It's defo not a flashy style)

I think with the weight, Uncle Rog decided to practice more cautuion.
(again, nothing wrong with that, just not as entertaining)

I wouldn't be so confident bro. Cotto's fan base is growing daily and if he continues to impress, it will continue to grow drastically (he's a great fighter to watch) and the debate of who would win (cotto or pbf) will blow up. At this point, Money May will take a career defining (IMO) match as well as 20-30 mill (Bob Arum wants PBF to LOSE BAD imo)

I don't think beating somebody like SSM or Forrest at this point does anything for his career. It's meant less and less for months.

Just out of curiosity who do you think wins Cotto-Clottey and Cotto-Williams?
