We must be close in age.

Also, Holmes vs. Spinks 1 and 2. I heard my dad and my friends argue rounds and scorecards. That's when I learned how to watch boxing, what to look for. I saw so much more in the second fight because I knew what to look for. It's been on since then.

Amazing fight. Hell of a bout. I'm surprised it doesn't get more mention in the "your favorite fight"-type threads.

If anybody out there hasn't seen it, find it on youtube.

Barrera vs. the hundred-and-twenty-odd-pounds best of the late 90's & early 00's.

I was a boxing fan due to Rocky films but i was more into another sport at the time. Although I watched Barry McGuigan, Mike Tyson, Hagler plus others the fight that really got me stoked into a hardcore fan was Fidel Bassa v Dave 'Boy' McAuley I fight for the WBA Flyweight title in 1987 if memory serves correctly. It's a under-rated classic.
