Wow, some of these fights you guys picked are fairly recent. Either some of you just got into boxing, or you're very young. ****, I'm 30, and I started loving boxing watching the early Iron Mike. 30 isn't that old...is it?

I'm old enough (47) to remember all the excitement when Ali was fighting and I saw many of his 70's fights live, including Foreman - Ali, *Rumble in the jungle" and Frazier - Ali, "Thrilla in Manilla" but the fight that most turned me into a "hardcore" boxing fan if I can be called that, is the Hagler - Hearns fight. I was a huge Hagler, & Duran fan when I was younger and still am.

Not to me, LOL! But I was wondering the same thing...most people try and act like experts on here, and I am amazed that expertise can be achieved in such a short period of time!

Vargas DLH got me to start watching it somewhat.

Then Jones-Ruiz REALLY got me into boxing.

The Thrilla In Manilla. It was one of the few fights that one could actually buy on video in a store. I got into boxing because of Muhammad Ali and picked this fight up. After I watched it I was blown away by the display of technique, heart, determination and grit. Great great fight. I still consider it the greatest fight of all time.

"The Rumble in The Jungle". I watched it at school when I was 11 years old. My teacher was the sports master and in Australia back in those days everything was on free to air TV (no such thing as cable). Best school day ever!

    This is easy for me.

Ali v Frazier, Madison Square Garden, 1974.

The next fight I saw was Ali v Foreman.

    No wonder I got hooked.

That was an exciting fight for Jones fans and one of historic proportions to boot.
