Fighter: Floyd, closely followed by Cotto and Calzaghe Fight: Marquez v Vazquez II Round: Katsidis v Earl round 4 [yt]yltlYLPx16w[/yt]
cotto took it to another level once he moved to welter. He might've been the underdog vs zab AND mosley so he the fighter of the year on my book. Pavlik and Floyd are close
Fighter: Cotto (runners up: Pavlik, Mayweather) Fight: Vasquez/Marquez 2 (runners up: Pavlik/Taylor, Katsidid/Earl) Round: Kirkland/Conyers Rd 1 (runners up: Vasquez/Marquez 2 Rd 3, Bika/Codrington Rd 1)
Fighter: Cotto, then Floyd, then Pavlik Fight: Marquez-Vasquez 2, then Taylor-Pavlik or MAB-JMM Round: Marquez-Vasquez rd 3, MAB-JMM rd 7 or Bika-Codrington/Kirkland/Conyers rd 1
[yt]Sw9Hntr9M7g[/yt] i think this round was the best. Floyd for foy and marquez/vasquez 2 for best fight.
Fighter - Mayweather Fight - Pavlik v Yaylor (big fight that delieverd) Round - Katsidis Earl (any ****in round)
Fighter - FLoyd Mayweather. I love Kelly Pavlik's stellar rise to the elite level this year by knocking out everyone along the way - but Floyd edges him out for being in the two back-to-back largest boxing events of the year. Fight of the Year - I haven't seen the second Marquez/Vaquez fight yet - but of all the fights I've seen this year, the one I rewatch the most was Pavlik and Miranda. That was as close as you can get to seeing a toe-to-toe slugfest for 7 rounds. Round of the Year - I'll have to watch some of these clips first and come back to this one. I'm leaning towards a round in Pavlik/Miranda - perhaps number 3.
