I want to be convinced that Mosley still have it. I believe he does judging how he showed in the Margo fight, but i have doubts sometimes because that's a year ago. I reckon for people above 35, a year ago is quite a lot.

To settle my doubts, who is the fighter for the past 20 years who at 38 - still have something left that is enough to beat the best in his division? Preferably a fighter who stays in the same weight class for 8 years or so too (or can still make the same weight when he was in his late 20s).

Mosley said something right before the Margo fight which needs to be brought up. He said, "don't look too much into this fight, don't think just cuz one guy beat one guy that he will also beat the other, styles make fights and Margarito is tailor made for me."

This makes me wonder how much Mosley does have in the tank. I think he has enough, showed a good account of himself against Cotto though he lost that one, and a not so good account of himself against Mayorga which he won. But maybe the Margarito fight is somewhat like DLH's mayorga fight, just tailor made. Who knows really. We'll soon find out.

Interesting answer about BHop. Who else? a Non-heavyweight example is interesting too.

you seen what mosley did to margo right ? was he old that night ?
what was mosley going to do to berto ? lose or ko 25yr old berto, most peole thought shane would stop berto.

now hes fight mayweather and his age is coming up again, seems to me hes young enough to fight margarito and berto but not floyd, why is that becuase were talking about floyd right ?

mayweather will be 33 and shane will be 38, 5 yrs between them.yes it would have been better if mayweather was 25 and mosley was 30 but it did not work out that way.who ever wins the fight will win because they were the better boxer, age aint nothing but a number when it comes guys like mosley and hopkins.

mosley has more left then cotto would you agree ?
mosley had more left then vargas ?
so dont think you have to get old over night, when mosley starts losing to fighters who have killed back in the day then you bring up age, but he gave cotto a break in the later rds not closing the show, leting a hurt cotto outbox him the last 2rds trying to land one punch cotto seen coming a mile away.and you seen what he did to margarito right ?
and again who did you have winning the mosley vs berto fight, most sayed mosley by ko.

so you know by may 1st mosley want be old overnight, hes not that type of fghter.mosley can hit now just as good as before.he might be slower but that dont mean he is slow.and you with age he as experience and wisdom in the ring that can help him win against mayweather.not to mention he still fast as ****, bigger and stronger then mayweather, with a better chin.

bottom line is the better man will win the fight period ! age aint nothing but a number ! hopkins at 38 beat the breaks off the undefeated 40-0 tito trinidad.mosley is cut from that same cloth ! believe that **** homie !

Don't worry, if Shane is feeling the effects of old age he can always turn to B-hop for advance on how to manage it, athritis medication, etc...

Well he showed tremendous speed, power, and energy against Margo.

Tailor made or else, he is physically still one of the best out there. Hard to say, but I still dont see him beating Mayweather.

SSM is still a good fighter at 38 but he will lose a UD or late round Stoppage to FMJ
