hmm says... naw bro it's all good. Respect your opinion. If I'm correct, I'm thinking fighter of the decade is also determined what they have done outside the ring as well. I could be wrong cause right now Pac looks like he's taking it cause he's become a greater sportsman overall. I see more positive contribution to the sport from Pac than from PBF (not taking anything away from him). Anyways, both have good resumes but I'm looking at the lvl of competition each are facing next as a big determining factor since the decade is winding down.
Dude you got ******ed math. If you got 1991-2001 as a decade, does the next decade start as 2002-2012 then 2013-2023? It is either 1990-1999 or 1991-2000. Quit cheating in math class!! Pac takes it this decade, Floyd was inacitive for 1/5th of it and he haven't taken such challenges as Pac has.
Agree. 90-99 and 91-2000 is exactly a decade. If the Pac goes undefeated in his next fight or two before he retires next year ( maybe ), then he should win the award. :bbb
Pac, Mayweather, Hopkins and Sugar Shane Mosley look like contenders at the moment. If they had no losses I would have to put Cotto and Paul Williams on that list. Of course Cotto can knock Pac off that list with a win and put himself on it.
PBF won't win it unless he beats Pacquaio him quitting the sport, then coming back when he is near broke, does not look good! Plus Pacquaio has by far the better resume and the more spectacular fights Even if pacquiao is beaten, unless PBF is the one to do it, Pacquaio takes it.....
hmm says... ^^ true that... his escapades of retiring and such doesn't look good. It's called Fighter of the Decade and he missed almost 2 years.... but that stuff right there, even if he has a good resume, speaks volumes if he really is a fighter of the sport. He also said "he fights for money" and "not fighting to prove to the fans who the best is". It's kinda like quitting your job and trying to go back and expecting to be employee of the month, year, a raise, or whatever when you showed lack of desire to be there. I dunno if that's a good comparison... I see PBF getting the title if he fights Pac and wins but he blew it by going after JMM instead. We won't know if or when he'll face Pac (the fight of the decade).
it is a moot point if floyd starts the next decade by dismantling pac...then pac can have his fighter of the decade and floyd will be number 1 anyway for the whole time he is in boxing....noone has been better
