    Paul Williams!

He beats Winky Wright, then goes on to beat another good fighter anywhere from 147-160, then closes the show in 09 with another victory against Margarito.

could be. if pac beats hatton soundly and then manages a win over pbf then as encore, wins over jmm convincingly as his last fight.

Cotto has a chance - Marg, Williams, Clottey/Mayweather

Pac has the potential - Hatton, Mayweather, JMM

    Marg - Mosley, Cotto, Mayweather

    Haye - Vitali, Wlad

pacman. i think he has better chances than pw beating both winky or margo. pw shines against the guys he can ko, but these 2 have p4p chins and most likely take him the distance.i also pick these 2, but pacman a slight favorite

If Pacman beats Hatton, Mayweather and then JMM convincingly, he's not only the best fighter of 2009 but arguably a top 20 ATG.

Can't see it happening at all though, I think Hatton will execute the perfect gameplan by Floyd Sr, and stop Pac in 10. I think Floyd would potshot his way to a UD win, and although he may beat JMM, I doubt he can do it convincingly.

I think Paul Williams has a great chance. If he can beat Winky, he's well on his way. Picking up another title at 154 or at 160 would probably secure it for him.

Hatton has a chance aswell if he can stop Pacquiao and then possibly beat the winner of Bradley-Holt or step up to 147 and claim a title.

Pac-Man is in the best position right now. He already has Hatton and then he will probably get Mayweather or Maybe Marquez 3. If he doesn't lose it's probably him.
If Williams can get another big fight after Winky he might have a good chance as well. Margarito is not going to fight him. It will be a fighter at 160 most likely. Maybe Pavlik.

Pac-Man getting beat by Mayweather is no sure thing. Mayweather hasn't and probably won't fight any top WW's. It's hard to say exactly what might happen if he faces Pac. He probably will for money.

Hell, if he came up with convincing wins over those three over the course of 12 months, "fighter of the decade" wouldn't be an overstatement.

Paul Williams has a great shot just based on versatility. Beat Winky, get a fight made with Pavlik, then corner Margarito into a fight at 154. That would be a hell of a year.
