**** it then, if it's just based off of knocking people out, then I still put Stevenson and Kovalev over GGG. Any ******ed and bias scenario you make, still doesn't justify GGG winning the award
The Canelo win is a great win. Thats only countered by how ****/weak of a win Guerrero is though. Guerrero sucks. Even Khan beats Guerrero up. Bradley deserves FOTY imo.
I will never get the fascination with knock outs. They're entertaining and all is winning by KO in a close fight better than a 12-0 schooling? Anyways, I see cases for Mayweather, Rigondeaux, and Bradley. I don't know too much about the really light weights so I won't comment on those fighters.
What you fail to realize is that no one in the sport today 154 and under would be the betting favorite agaisnt PBF dumbass.:deal That means PBF has to go to his sixth weight class just to possibly be the underdog in a fight and he probably would still be the favorite even at MW.:hi:
What about Fight of the year? Is there a thread on this? Weve had some great ones. Lebedev - Jones would have been it for me, shame the win has been tarnished. I'd say it'll be Bradley - Provodnikov.
So what??? I made a bold prediction. No different than rolling a dice guessing 8's. I never said Canelo was a better fighter, I was hoping the stars would align, canelo would elevate to greatness, levels above what he was fighting like previously, while Floyd got old over night. Both didn't happen and Canelo was just as I thought he was viewing his previous fights. My bet was really that I thought Floyd was going to get old and canelo would be able to capitalize, just enough to KO floyd with his only real weapon, his power. But what happened was Floyd actually looked younger than his past couple fights, and Canelo looked like the aging fighter.
Vs Prime Pac he wouldn't have been the obvious favorite and guess what, he ducked him! You know as well as I do Floyd won't fight a great prime fighter. He won't fight a fight he thinks he has a chance to lose in, Floyd would never take a risk like that. The P4P#1 king of PPV gives us glorified sparring matches!atsch I know you fools think his "money" character is just an act, that he really isn't the jackass he seems to be . But I tell you what, 80% of his PPV buys are people hoping to see him get beaten.
Wrong again dumbass. When that fight was being talked about pbf was the clear favorite as well. Like I said pbf would have to go to 160 to even be considered not being the favorite.
Top choices have to be Mayweather, Bradley,& Garcia Garcia the undefeated undisputed JWW Champ with a closer then expected win vs a vet in Judah & imo a near shut out off Matthysse in a fight no one thought he would take as a Matthysse fan this win earned Garcia my respect I believe his hype. Bradley the undefeated WBO WW Champ winning a Fight of the Year type bout vs now JWW Champ Provodnikov, and solidifying his elite ststus with a win over an ATG in Marquez. And finally Mayweather with a shutout vs mandatory and interim WW Champ Guerrero, a win in the most high profile fight this year in an impressive showing vs then undefeated unified JMW Champ Alvarez although at a cw. I know some will pick guys like GGG for activity but the three Best wins you could have this year were vs Matthysse @ 140, Marquez after the Pac KO,, and unbeaten Alvarez at JMW. Anyone of them are cool with me.
